Sodium hyaluronate is an essential component of synovial fluid to which it confers its special viscoelastic properties. Synart’s sodium hyaluronate is obtained through fermentation without chemical treatment. It is in the form of pre-filled disposable glass syringes with a sterile pyrogen-free solution. In rheumatic and degenerative joint diseases, there is a decrease in the amount of hyaluronic acid with a consequent reduction in the viscosity of synovial fluid. This results in deterioration of joint function and pain.
Intra-articular administration of hyaluronic acid is able to restore the viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid, resulting in a significant improvement in joint mobility and subsequent alleviation of pain and inflammatory response.

SYNART is a synovial fluid replacer which, due to its viscoelastic lubricating properties, promotes the restoration of the rheological condition of joints, altered in case of degenerative or post-traumatic diseases.
By enhancing the characteristics of synovial fluid, the product exerts a protective action on joints and favours the improvement of joint function and the reduction of pain symptoms.
SYNART acts only at the level of the joint into which it is injected, without exerting any systemic action.
